Young People at Solar complete the IOS/Totvs Professional Training Course
Twenty-six high school students from Solar Meninos de Luz and 30 students from the Bola pra Frente Institute, in Guadalupe, completed the second-semester Professional Training in Business course offered by the Totvs IOS (Social Opportunity Institute) on Tuesday, the 20th of December, at 6pm. The event took place at the Veneza Cultural Center, in Botafogo.
Students’ family members, teachers and members of the institutions were present at the ceremony, as well as Lélio de Souza Jr, Director of Private Operations at Totvs and great Solar benefactor. At the top table were seated Totvs director Álvaro Cysneiros; Unisuam coordinator Luiz Felipe Reis; Lucienne Moreira, IOS representative; the representative of the Bola pra Frente Institute and Yolanda Maltaroli, founder and president of Solar Meninos de Luz.
During the occasion, students from both institutions honored those who were present. The Solar group honored teacher Thiago Chapelem, with students Diogo Araújo and Jefferson Ribeiro as speakers. Both boys have finished high school and will not be at Solar in 2012.
According to Chapelem, the students’ spontaneity made the lessons more fun and participatory. “When Renato began singing in class… When Lucas Gomes asked to borrow the Totvs badge… These are the things that make us enjoy teaching!” said the teacher.
After a traditional ceremony, with students in gowns, songs and photos taken when the course certificate was handed to each student, a confetti shower and many hugs and smiles of joy and achievement, the dance floor was opened for the guests to dance and celebrate another important step in the young people’s professional lives!
