Tornar-se will be the new exhibition of Solar Art Gallery
Tomorrow, March 8, at 16:30 p.m., Solar Art Gallery will inaugurate Tornar-se exhibition. Twelve women artists, with Osvaldo Carvalho trusteeship, this show celebrates International Women’s Day.
Exhibition presents a reflection of becoming a woman and how to deal with the defining issue of women’s status, which trials they face and how they view freedom, “That nothing define us. That nothing subject us. That freedom be our own substance.”.
The purpose of the show is to question, subtly, the idea that women are still at a disadvantage and bring a reflection on gender equality.
The works exhibited show the importance of each artist self-knowledge. During their lives, each one was guardian of their rights and dreams, and protagonists battles for their place in society and in art, after all, “it is the art that man goes definitely beyond”.
Solar Meninos de Luz invites everyone to participate of this exhibition with such a current and important reflection in society. Admission is free.
