Theatre and lots of fun ends Childrenâ’s Week
Marcos França is Tin, our dear friend and film producer who brought his children João and Maria Clara to help him celebrate Children's Day. Solar’s children were thrilled.
A delicious mess began on October 10th when they donated brand new foosball and ping pong tables. The bouncing balls sound does not stop and there are always lines to be the next player of this sport invented in England on nineteenth century. The kids were also amazed when they discovered about the trampoline rented for the special day! Well, let’s jump this part…
Breathless, fantastic Tin announced for the little ones the arrival of an activity center (slide, swing, etc.) and an amazing – like all Tin’s projects – doll house that will be installed at the nursery’s solarium. The place is not going to be only for kids up to 4 years old, the space will be a real playground for everyone.
And that is not all: Tin and his children served a delicious snack, with different and delicious dishes for the kid’s celebration. Whew!
To finish the week, we returned to Meninos de Luz Theatre, on October 11th, for the presentation of "From the Top End of the World", produced by Ligia Maria Conforti Protti, who is an actress and teacher in theater arts, biologist and environmental educator in NGO Instituto Ambiente em Movimento, which works on the dissemination of environmental awareness through theater.
The play uses silent theater and comedy to propose a reflection on humanity and its relationship with nature over time. The plot has two cartoonish characters, a primitive man and a modern boy. Topics such as the emergence of life, civilizing process, tribalism, natural resources, mass manipulation and possible solutions to environmental issues today are addressed during the play.
Fun and with a traditional Brazilian soundtrack, the presentation culminates in the importance of Brazil in the environmental context of the present world.
The theater was crowded. It was a very different children’s day at Solar!
