Solidary Boys work
In the last fortnight of December 2016 and in the first fortnight of January 2017, Solar received some of its students to assist in the institution work. The collaboration of young people was accounted for the Boys and Girls Solidarity Project.
Created in 2004, the Boys and Girls Solidarity Project is the students’ contribution to society, which offers them surprising evolutionary possibilities in voluntary work. Students are committed to donate 30 hours a year.
The objectives are to awaken social responsibility awareness, to achieve noble values of the soul – such as love, compassion, fraternity and solidarity -, to increase self-esteem by overcoming stigmas and prejudices and to train cooperative activities.
Among the actions available in the project, helping Solar is one of them. They can work, in their vacant schedules, as volunteers to play and babysit, teach crafts, dances and songs to preschoolers and teach school subjects to the ones with difficulty.
Their hours can also be donated in the community and outside, in charities institutions, nursing homes, orphanages and hospitals.
