Solar starts judo classes
Solar Meninos de Luz started judo classes for 183 students in June. The project proposal is to go beyond blows and techniques, also aiding in the human development of young people. Judo, in this sense, is a privileged modality, for carrying traditions and values that are important educational instruments, such as courage, humility, respect, discipline, determination and solidarity.
Classes happen from Monday to Thursday, lasting one hour each, at Solar sports complex, and serve students from 6 to 16 years. The project methodology will be carried out in partnership with Reação Institute, a reference institution in the practice of judo as a social transformation, also located in Rio de Janeiro.
