Solar Meninos de Luz

Twenty-six years ago, Solar Meninos de Luz began its journey in Integral Education with a kindergarten so that the families of Pavão-Pavãozinho and Cantagalo could leave their children safely and go to work, improving family income. But it was not enough.

Over the years, Solar has also started Elementary Education I and II and High School, as well as complementary education, which includes professional, cultural and sports workshops. But not only that. It directed his students abroad in cultural exchanges and his graduats to universities with scholarships and opened adult literacy classes, which also receive computer classes.

It kept and still keps its students at school full time (10 hours/day), offering three meals a day during his first 18 years of life. Every year, 400 children and youngsters are attended with formal education and lessons in percussion, guitar, transverse flute, ballet, tap dance, dance, theater, computer, English, chess, capoeira, futsal, volleyball, basketball, yoga, among many others.

For 26 years, education in Solar has formed the Good men, transforming agents of society. Let’s get to 50! Congratulations, Solar!
