New Futsal Workshop on Solar
Matheus Barbosa and Pablo Rodriguez, former students of Solar, returned to school with a new purpose. After much learning, they came back to teach. Since March 4, the boys are teaching futsal to children of Elementary II and High school.
The first part of the workshop will have theoretical and tactical knowledge; a base to work. In first classes, worked themes were the introduction and history of futsal, the rules and major moves. Now, children are practicing what they have learned.
This project takes place once a week, from 15p.m. to 18p.m., and has an initial duration of one year, but renewable. The goal is to form an amateur futsal club and direct the best players to professional teams.
In April, students will take excursions to participate of friendly matches. Selection to participate covers behavior analysis inside and outside school, school report grades and development on the sports court.
According to Matheus, children of any age can have a chance to get where big players are today, if they have base. Football superstars like Neymar, Robinho and Ronaldinho, started in futsal. Pablo adds: this project will not only develop students to be professional athletes, but will also help them grow as human beings.
Of 20 participating students, 70% would like to follow futsal professional career.
