New art workshop for ‘Acessos’ exhibition
Artists Grasi Fernaski, Marciah Rommes and Nadia Aguilera, participating in ‘Acessos’ exhibition, exhibited at Solar Art Gallery, came to Solar on the 22nd to give an art workshop to students of 7th and 8th years of Elementary School II.
The workshop was divided into two stages. In the first step, they used the frames of a video recorded in the first art workshop. The frames were printed and covered with a vegetable leaf. This made it difficult to see the image. Then our students pointed out with colored pencils what caught their attention.
One of the most striking aspects in the first activity is that in order to have access to the printed frame, it is necessary to raise the vegetable leaf. With this, we are already working on the exhibition theme: ‘Acessos’ (Accesses).
In the second step, students used frames prints, string, pencils, glue and scissors, in pairs, to create pieces that had some relation with the exhibition theme. Our young people made boats, plane, ladder, waves and even an Olympic torch. After the end of activities, they explained what inspired them to create each of those pieces.
The works will also be exhibited at ‘Acessos’ at Solar Art Gallery.
