A pedagogue, mother, with girl spirit, with a heart that beat for many.
A woman who, listening to the suffering of families in the middle of a tragedy, went up the hill offering her help, starting her history with the communities of Pavão-Pavãozinho and Cantagalo.
Her joy and dedication, little by little, were conquering hearts and inspiring people who promptly followed her and helped her to turn her dreams into reality.
What started small today is immensity. What began as a recreation today frees lives with education.
Dona Iolanda, as she was called, awakened the best in each one of us. With her girlish smile, her personality was pacifying and at the same time has disciplining, kepting us on the beautiful path she had prepared for us.
On Thursday, October 11, Dona Iolanda has left us. In spite of her physical absence, her example of love will remain in each one who has allowed themselves receive it, becoming part of the legacy that she wisely left imprinted on each one who accepted to be part of this story, and whose mission is to keep alive this work that was not built to be brief.
May we all, together, multiply the legacy she left us.
