Light Boys Theater receives the show Yellow Butterfly
On August 16, at 4:30 p.m., Light Boys Theater received the show Yellow Butterfly, which was presented to students of Elementary School II.
Yellow Butterfly is a dance performance that dialogues between tradition and contemporaneity, between sacred and profane, between bodies and places, building a story told by movements and pulsations of a “nomad body”, multiple, in continuous transformation.
The symbol of a butterfly joins the universes of Candomblé and the dance of female Orixás, mixes with the world of samba and carioca carnival, hosts symbols of the Arab and Gypsy universe, reshaping in a dance that includes a gesture of their own contemporary, representing women in their various moments, with their struggles, their sufferings and joys, their rites and faith, their challenges and their charms, their universal bodies that cross oceans and borders.
