Lecture with Dr. Celisio Werneck
On August 22, Solar received Dr. Celisio Werneck, manager of the Family Clinic of Pavãozinho, for a lecture for Elementary School and High School students.
The doctor talked about topics such as sex, teenage pregnancy and sexually transmitted diseases, such as HPV (Human Papilloma Virus) and gonorrhea.
HPV is a virus that lives on humans skin and mucous membranes, such as the vulva, vagina, cervix and penis. When it affects the genitals is a sexually transmitted infection (STI). Unprotected sex is the main cause of transmission.
Gonorrhea is a sexually transmitted disease caused by a bacterium that can affect men or women who have intimate contact without a condom, causing frequent infections in the penis, vagina or anus.
Dr. Werneck reinforced the importance of safe sex with prevention and made himself available to students to clarify further questions at the Family Clinic.
