Solar Meninos de Luz

Solar Art Gallery promotes, from July 5, in Copacabana, the exhibition Entre  o Vão e a Plataforma (Between the Span and the Platform). Ten artists, curated by Osvaldo Carvalho, bring new perspectives of art, both by the plurality of materials and by the artistic making. It is considered the artisan side – necessary – of each one, in which each piece can work the most varied tools, from a simple trait, to the sophisticated computer programs, passing through technologies of low cost or even consecrated by the tradition as the painting, the drawing, or the embroidery.

The gap between the artist and his work – the artisan and his crafts – can be considered a gap between the span and the platform, the moment when he can create security on his crossing or miss the beat and launch himself into the abyss.

In this exhibition, ten artists cross paths and dialogue with the unknown, addressing the multiplicity of genres in all segments of thinking, doing and acting. It will be up to the spectator to pay attention to the details, the invoices, the materials, the expository route to form an opinion. The conclusion, whatever it may be, will not be a rule or an exception, it will only be in this lapse between the Span and the Platform.
