The Association of Children’s and Young Adults’ Literature Writers (AEILIJ) presented, from the 7th to the 20th of October, the exhibition “Colors and Shapes that tell Stories” at the Meninos de Luz Library. To commemorate the 10 years of existence, celebrated in 2009, AEILIJ organized the exhibition’s fourth edition.

Through this partnership with Solar, apart from the exhibition, students have participated in Literary Solar, which consists of visits from associated professionals who do readings, tell stories, make drawings and perform various activities to encourage creativity and the practice of reading among children and young people.

The exhibition aims to show the beauty and importance of the illustrations contained in children’s and young adults’ literature. Thus, the exhibition shows the work of 25 illustrators who delight the public with images, colors and shapes.

Created to be a traveling exhibition, the panels are copies of originals, printed on light material, which can be attached directly to walls or any smooth surface, not requiring a frame, or with paper holders. The books to which these works belong are also exhibited, for anyone interested in reading the stories presented in the illustrations!
