Children of the UK raise funds for Solar

Six students of Hyde Park Junior School, in Plymouth, UK, took action to raise funds for Solar.
The action is called ‘sponsored silence’ and is very common among Elementary School students in North American and European countries. It works as follows: the students involved, with the help of their teachers, ask their friends and family to make a donation so that they spend a few hours in silence for a cause.
Our friends, who are between 10 and 11 years old, spent 6 hours in silence and raised 200 euros. They have told us that they hope that this donation will help in the education of our students.
Solar Meninos de Luz greatly appreciates the action, the gift and the intention of these beautiful girls.
