Capoeira Cultural Festival at Solar
On December 9, Solar Meninos de Luz and Saravá Capoeira, in partnership with Portal da Cabala, hold the 5th edition of Festival Cultural de Capoeira Criança Feliz 2016 (Capoeira Happy Child Cultural Festival 2016).
Children from Pre-School to 1st year of High School are part of Capoeira baptism ceremony and ropes exchange at Meninos de Luz Theater.
The audience was full of parents and family, who come to watch our children present maculelê, play on capoeira wheel and change ropes with Master Ninho guidance.
Capoeira Baptism means graduation in the sport, which is symbolized by the color of the rope that players wear tied at the waist. Each level has a different color.
Capoeira is a beautiful demonstration of Brazilian culture, which includes martial art, sport, culture and music. It is one of the activities chosen by our students at the beginning of school year.
