April 18 is considered the National Day of Children’s Book, in honor of Monteiro Lobato, because it is his day of birth.

With the aim of encouraging reading habits and expanding the literary repertoire, Solar held several activities this week with the students of Early Childhood Education and Elementary School I.

The little ones from the nursery were visited by Emília, from the Pica-Pau Amarelo site and heard the Little Red Riding Hood story.

Maternal children attended their educators in a dramatization of the fables The Three Little Pigs and John and the Beanstalk and celebrated the Indian Day with painting and dance.

The children of Pre-School participated in a Cooking Workshop with Mrs Benta’s cookies, from Pica-Pau Amarelo site, in addition to watching a dramatization of the Little Red Riding Hood story.

The older students of the Elementary School I talked to Monteiro Lobato, inaugurated a small reading platform and even went to the beach to listen to the story ‘Sara goes to the beach’ by Gisele Gama Andrade.
