Adults students of alphabetization class had a super typical class
On June 28th, our adult alphabetization class had a super typical class! The class had paçoca (traditional Brazilian sweet made of peanut), green corn, canjica (traditional Brazilian meal made of corn, coco milk, peanut), cassava cake, sweet potatos, quentão (Brazilian typical hot drink), fishing game, ‘São João’ music and many more.
Fishing game was one of the didactic activities. Students used sticks to fish pieces of ‘São João ‘ music. At the end of the lesson, they had to join their pieces and create a music. It was a very dynamic lesson!
The adult alphabetization class started in January 2016, with 20 students, thanks to BB Educar Foundation support and thanks to the teachers David and Valéria. These classes are held on Tuesday and Thursday from 6:30pm to 9:30pm and will last till November, when our fiends will be able to read and write.
*São João is a saint and in Jun or July, Brazilian people make parties in his honor.
