Adult Literacy receives the Reading at Solar Program

Continuing the Reading at Solar Program, on August 31, the author Alessandra Maltarollo came to chat with our Adult Literacy class students.
She talked a little about her story and her inspirations to write the book ‘As Aventuras de uma Criança Downadinha’, which tells the story of her daughter Clarice, a child with Down Syndrome full of joy, determination, wills, achievements and learning.
The book addresses the topic of inclusion and shows parents, therapists, doctors, friends and friends of friends that children their age can learn, develop and be happy with or without Down Syndrome.
This project was awarded by “Todos por um Brasil de Leitores” Prize by Culture Ministry.
