Adult Literacy: a class in the Art Gallery
On October 30, Adult Literacy students participated in a class at Solar Art Gallery, marking the close of Digital exhibition.
While the students contemplated the art works, the teacher instigated perceptions about the urban chaos of the city where we live and stimulated reflections on what is fact or illusion, public or private in our lives. The password for answering these queries is individual, but the search can and should be collective.
With this objective, the lesson plan contemplated the development of some essential knowledge in the literacy process as orality, through the expression of thoughts, ideas, opinions and feelings; the interpretation of texts that do not contain written language; the exercise of reading from the elements of the poster and text about the exhibition; the writing of collective text about the lived experience.
The project is called BB Educar – Literacy for Youth and Adults and it is the result of a partnership between Solar Meninos de Luz and Banco do Brasil Foundation.
