Adult Literacy celebrates International Women’s Day
On March 8, Adult Literacy students participated in a commemorative class in honor of International Women’s Day. Professor David Aquino used a conversation wheel to bring up the theme ‘Fortune, Wealth and Abundance’.
Through storytelling technique, they were introduced to the Fortune Flower Legend. In the conversation about what is fortune for each one, were mentioned: the family, life, good, unity, love, happiness, hope. And abundance is having it all.
They also spoke about women’s struggle today and how this fortune is very present in the woman mother, grandmother, lifemate and worker. All were presented with a vase of Kalanchoe, the Fortune Flower.
The project is called BB Educar – Literacy for Youth and Adults and is the result of a partnership between Solar Meninos de Luz and Banco do Brasil Foundation.
