Lecture on Self-knowledge for professional choice
On September 29, School Psychologist Gisele Baptista came to Solar to talk to our High School students about Self-knowledge for professional choice.
Gisele began the lecture telling a little of her story and how she had to dedicate herself to get what she wanted. So she asked the youngs what were their dreams and plans. The most part responded that they would like to finish their studies, go to college and travel.
Individually, she asked which career they wanted to pursue, and professions ranged from Law, Mechanical Engineering, Military Police, Technology, Physical Education, Psychology, Design, and Photography. Based on this conversation, Gisele gave some general guidance on these careers.
In the end, students did a mapping of skills activity to verify interpersonal skills, synesthesia and which area of intelligence each has more developed ability. She will send the result by email to each one. She has also made herself available to help students who are struggling to choose their careers at the clinic where she work.
