Solar resumes its Music School
Music has always been part of Solar’s student education, because it develops sensitivity, creativity and ability to interpret, express, communicate and critique through appreciation and musical practice in its various modalities: singing, body expression, instruments, musical theory and its connections with Dance, Theater and Fine Arts. Facilitates the learning and practice of attention, punctuality, discipline, responsibility, persistence and group interaction.
Through incentive laws, Solar resumed its Music School in 2017.
Solar Meninos de Luz Chorinho School, which includes classes of guitar, transverse flute, cavaquinho and percussion (tambourine), has the support of the Culture State Department and the sponsorship of Light, through the State Law of Culture Incentive. The workshops are focused on students of Elementary School II and High School. Each one of the four workshops caters to 10 students with weekly lessons of 2 hours each.
Solar Meninos de Luz Orchestra has the support of Culture Municipal Department and sponsorship of Belmond Copacabana Palace Hotel, through the ISS Law. It includes classes of violin, viola, transverse flute, cello, clarinet, trumpet, trombone and acoustic double bass.
All Elementary School I will have 1 hour per week of Music Education. The other workshops will be aimed at students of Elementary School II and residents of the communities, not enrolled at Solar.
Solar Coral is sponsored by Kabbalah Portal and has two classes, one for students in grades 3th to 5th of Elementary School I and another for students in the 6th to 9th grade of Elementary School II. Classes are held once a week, lasting 1 hour and 30 minutes each. This project does not use the mechanisms of Incentive Laws.
