Solar performs a Nativity Play with much music and dancing, gives out awards for the Poster Contest for peace and honors employees at party
The 2011 school year at Solar was closed with a wonderful Christmas celebration on the morning of Friday, the 16th of December, at the Meninos de Luz Theater. It was a day of beautiful Christmas and artistic presentations.
The morning of celebrations began with a moving performance by the Cantareiros Choir. The audience was singing along and asking for repeats! Then came the Nativity Play, performed by Early Education and Primary School I students. The little ones sung Christmas carols conducted by teacher Ângela Britto.
Each student who had taken part in the Poster Contest promoted by the Cachambi Lions Club was called to the stage to receive his or her certificate of participation. After that, the two tap-dancing groups from teacher Leo Sandoval’s workshops presented themselves, raising warm applause from the audience. Then, the two hip hop groups also put on beautiful performances.
At the end of this intense moment of celebration, full of so much joy and love, the students were dismissed and Solar employees enjoyed a holiday lunch at Solar’s covered court.
In the afternoon, Daniel Maltarollo gave a talk about the real meaning of peace and, after that, photos of employees were shown in a moving homage to all, to the song “Conquistando o Impossível” (Conquering the Impossible).
