Reading at Solar Program returns to Paulo Coelho Library
Paulo Coelho Community Library opened its doors for the return of Solar Reading Project.
Starting 2017 school year, the author Alessandra Maltarollo celebrated the 21st of March, International Down Syndrome Day, telling the story of her book ‘Aventuras de uma criança DOWNadinha’ (The Adventures of a Child with Down syndrome).
The book, which addresses inclusion topic, tells the story of Clarice, a child with Down Syndrome full of joy, determination, wills, achievements, and learning.
The storytelling, made among students of 2nd year of Elementary School I, had a special participation: Clarice, the Downadinha child, the author’s daughter. Children loved the story and the book illustrations.
This project was awarded by “Todos por um Brasil de Leitores” Prize by Culture Ministry.
