22nd Rio Cello at Meninos de Luz Theater
Today, September 1st, the 22nd Rio Cello came to the Meninos de Luz Theater to make a presentation to Solar students and residents of Pavão-Pavãozinho and Cantagalo communities.
The Festival, directed by David Chew, brought to Solar seven musicians from Camerata Laranjeiras, an orchestra of strings, directed by Thiago Cosmo.
As a surprise, there was the special participation of Tito Cartechini in Bandoneon, who called several children on stage and played a little bit with each one.
The performance lasted about two hours and the repertoire, chosen by the musicians themselves, covered songs like viva la vida of Cold Play, Call Me Maybe of Carly Rae Jepsen and Don’t You Worry Child of Swedish House Mafia, amoung others. Click here and see one of the songs presented.
It was the 4th visit of Rio Cello to Solar and it is an honor for us to celebrate 25 years of Integral Education to the sound of this festival.
