‘Teatro do Oprimido’ of Oga Mitá School visits Solar
Today, July 27th, Solar Theater received ‘Teatro do Oprimido’ show of Oga Mitá School. ‘Teatro do Oprimido’ is a compulsory school discipline for 7 years and acts as a space for political discussion through art in school environment.
The presentation of adolescents’ production during the year included three scenes of Theater-Forum, raising the following themes: abuse of parental authority, social barriers imposed on feminine and masculine genres and threats at school among the students.
The audience, composed of Solar Elementary School II and High School students, debated with the actors and even acted on stage after the debate. The intention was to prepare them to confront treatments like prejudice, inequality and discrimination.
Solar is grateful for the visit, entertainment and messages passed by Oga Mitá School’s Theater Group.
