Rubem Braga and Vinicius de Moraes Centenary Tribute
Ruben Braga and Vinicius de Moraes were born in 1913. Rubem was a journalist, writer and one of the greatest chroniclers of Brazil. Vinicius was a poet, playwright, composer and also a journalist. The work of these two Brazilian literature and music personalities are a legacy that will be passed from generation to generation.
Thinking about the importance of these great figures, Solar Meninos de Luz prepared a project honoring these two artists centenary.
4th and 5th grade students mounted a play showing a bit of Rubem Braga’s life, since his childhood, when once the writer was called stupid by a math teacher, until his complete success, when he was already a recognized chronicler. The play had music, dance, and was a beautiful presentation with the participation of teachers and students, who were the true protagonists.
Childhood Education little ones also prepared a beautiful spectacle at Meninos de Luz Theatre. Each class from Nursery to Pre-school took the stage and sang a Vinicius de Moraes hit, such as I know that I'll love you, Girl from Ipanema, By the light of your eyes, and then they finished with the classic Fade away!
It was a very exciting moment to see all the students singing together the songs from these two unforgettable masters.
