Music, dance and capoeira performances close 2011 activities
Solar Meninos de Luz closed its activities for the dance, music and capoeira workshops offered to students as elective subjects in complementary education with a beautiful presentation of the results achieved during 2011.
The Meninos de Luz Theater welcomed students, parents, family members and guests on the 3rd, 9th, 10th and 16th of December to close the complementary activities. On Saturday the 3rd, there was the string exchange and the baptism of the capoeira students. On Friday the 9th, it was time to see how quickly students had progressed with their musical instruments and the pieces they learned in under five months at the Portable Music School’s Choir lessons.
On Saturday the 10th, the audience was able to enjoy the choreographies and movements created by ballet teacher Sylvia Barreto, youth tap dancing teacher Natália Garlippe and hip hop teachers Danilo D’alma and Dany Possidonio.
The achievements of the two workshop groups held by youth tap dancing teacher Leo Sandoval could be seen later at our Christmas party, held on the morning of the 16th of December, the last day of the school year.
The partnership between Solar and dance school ValorArte showed its excellent results once again with the beautiful performance that initiated the end of year festivities at Solar Meninos de Luz.
