The Sponsor from the Heart Program (Programa Padrinho de Coração) is a way for an individual to make a monthly financial contribution. The program’s goal is for each donor to be able to help Solar Meninos de Luz support itself and pay its overheads. Solar’s total cost in 2010 was R$1,949,681.00 (US$ 1,112,514.00).
Camila Pitanga, our charming actress, accepted the invitation to be the godmother of Solar Meninos de Luz and to promote, by kindly allowing the use of her image, the Sponsor from the Heart Program in 2012. In 2011 it was our dear Regina Duarte who did us the honor.
Apart from Sponsor from the Heart, individuals and companies can contribute financially or with goods and services, or possibly develop Solar projects and maintenance through partnerships and support.
