Solar Meninos de Luz

Yesterday, October 2nd, students of elementary school’s 2nd year began the Little Science Fair. The idea came from Professor Sheila Hermogeneo, who performed several experiments with students. The result was so positive that she decided to expose it to the public. Thus, was born the "Science Fair" with the coordination of pedagogical director Rosemarie Ramalho.
Students gathered at the Chorus Room and split into groups to receive the public and talk about different topics, such as the senses, air, water, oral and personal hygiene, vegetables and seeds, sustainability, environment, etc. Each group explained its theme, experimented and they were all very sharp! They also showed experiments to prove the existence of air through a “vacuum", they talked about the importance of water and taught the public how to make a homemade filter that cleans water using plastic bottle. There were demonstrations of how to keep oral and personal hygiene properly, seeds were planted, and the kids also taught about sustainability in nature, among other activities!
Students and staff went to the fair to honor 2nd year students that were very excited and happy to expose their works to colleagues from other classes. Yolanda Maltoroli and Isabella Maltaroli attended the event and watched attentively to all presentations!
The Science Fair will happen until Friday, October 4th, from 1pm to 4pm, in the Chorus Room!
